Is there a way out of the sleep crisis?

On this year's World Sleep Day, several researchers and experts sought the answer, as the problem is urgent: nearly a third of people worldwide do not sleep well, and a quarter of adult Hungarians wake up tired. Fortunately, there are more and more solutions to remedy the problem, but the basis for everything is to pay more attention to our health and develop a sleep-friendly lifestyle.

World Sleep Day as a cry for help

Sleep is a key factor determining the quality of life, which is why the International Day of Sleep has been held since 2008 on the Friday before the spring equinox. This year, on March 14, attention was drawn to healthy sleep in nearly 80 countries, including Hungary. The topic itself is very topical, since insomnia is a common disease, and its prevention and treatment are worth taking seriously. One of the first causes of the problem is stress that has not been processed during the day, which ruins the nights. Unfortunately, nowadays every second person feels that they live a stressful life.

We want a peaceful, restful sleep.

“Humanity is sleeping less and less, and sleep disorders and diseases are much more common these days, so it is a global phenomenon,” we learned from Dr. Zsuzsanna Vida, a neurologist and sleep expert, at the event organized by Yatas Bedding on the occasion of World Sleep Day, where everyone had the opportunity to consult the doctor personally on sleep-related issues. “Sleep is vital, if its quality and quantity are not adequate, it has a negative impact on our lives, and most importantly, our health,” warned the sleep medicine expert.

Let's find the path to good sleep together!

Sleep disorders make our lives miserable, but of course there is an antidote: we can do a lot with our lifestyle to improve our sleep, but we can also improve our sleep quality with small steps. “During our afternoon roundtable discussion, we thoroughly covered the topic from a medical perspective, and among other things, we asked the expert’s opinion on what kind of mattress is best for our spine,” concluded Zaim Simal, who represented Yatas Bedding. “The lying position is the least stressful for the spine. A good mattress provides proper support, so it ensures the physiological line of the spine even while sleeping,” Dr. Zsuzsanna Vida mentioned during the discussion.

What is unimaginable without relaxation

And this is nothing other than the soul of the bed, that is, the mattress. Thanks to modern technological and hygiene solutions, premium quality mattresses now know everything that is necessary for our maximum comfort and good sleep. “They retain their shape for many years, their special spring system is completely spine-friendly, they can even be made with “air-conditioning” intelligent fabric and they provide a hygienic, clean sleeping environment,” highlighted just a few important features by Zaim Simal, who emphasized that Yatas Bedding, as an ambassador of quality sleep culture, considers it important to do something for restful sleep not only on World Sleep Day.
